FIAT Motorcars SpA BMPV 350 Project
The Fiat Auto Mirafiori, Turin Plant is the Group’s biggest. Production also includes models Multipla, Musa, Mito, Grande Punto, Idea, Punto and Thesis. The 11.000 person strong plant now produces some 550.000 cars a year.

Previous Situation |
The BMPV 350 plating project, started for manufacturing model Idea, later followed by the Musa, was the continuation of what GLF had done at the Fiat Poland Factory for the Nuova Panda project 169. Here, GLF was the sub-contractor for FIAT’s main contractors in implementing the various robotised process islands, namely:
• COMAU for mobile parts
• TECNO A for the rear door
• KGR for the engine hood

Present Situation |
• For each robotised island, GLF completed a sealant distribution system with RAM pumping and Flo Precision dosing control.
• The PLC and robot programme interfaced dosing system uses a closed loop to monitor sealant passage and enable its application according to the object to coat, via a chord, multi-drop or Precision Swirl doser.
